San Fran

I left with a very close friend and her son for California - J's son is going to college in California to become a film director! I was so glad to be able to join them in their adventure and support my friend as she said 'goodbye' to her youngest son.

Very early flight this Monday morning - arrived in CA to blue skies and beautiful weather - all luggage arrived, super shuttle boarded to downtown, arrived at Hotel Whitcomb [historic city hall building renovation, jail previously in basement, small rooms, extremely small bathrooms with showers, very ornate chandeliers, large conference rooms, white table cloth restaurant, Starbucks on ground level, marble tile, closet sized gift shop with maps, drinks and a few souvenirs, a doorman dressed in black tails with a stove pipe black hat and a red brocade vest, named Larry.] Once in our room 562 - j&l to lunch/supper [lupper], c to sleep from exhaustion, we walked down t
he street two blocks - homeless people everywhere - we turned around and went back to the hotel for lunch. On the corner of the block where the hotel was located there is a bank [closed today for MLK] - at the entrance to the bank was a large human poop, crew socks and a lace thong - Where is my camera when you need it! J had her camera but she would not take a picture. Oh Well... After lupper we were in the room for he night - all to bed early for pacific time as our internal clocks were way off schedule. The room is tense with expectation of a new life, routine, and the unknown of tomorrow. This could be a long week.
